Windows 7: 2 Different gpu 2 monitors ?

I have Gtx 460 and gtx 670 currently and I have two monitors i wanna hook up to each of those. (25" and a 19") I tried installing the 2nd one but nothing happened and it wasn't being recognized.

Soo question is.. how do i set up the two monitors and is it possible.



Edit i solved the other problem. I when the gtx 460 was recognized both of them stopped working so i had to disable it.

The only way to connect two graphics cards is to have an SLI card. Both of the cards have to be the same as well. Example: GTX 670 and another GTX 670. If either of the cards have dual DVI or VGA then you can connect two monitors to one of them.

No, sli isn't needed in this situation. Sli is used to run multiple cards to run a single monitor for better gaming performance. Sli and nvidia surround is used to create a spanned single desktop out of multiple monitors for gaming, usually 3 screens otherwise the middle of your game would be at the bezel of the 2 monitors.

One gtx460 can run run 2 monitors by itself.

Cratius needs to tell us what monitors he has so we can determine what connections are available.
He also needs to tell us exactly why he wants those 2 cards in the machine.

You didn't read it all apparently. I stated that if one card has dual DVI or VGA then you could run two monitors. Lol

Hmm well now tha ti think about it I guess my gpu can handle two monitors. Thanks anyways. Though I have a new problem if someone could help. I may have shorted out part of my motherboard(That possible?) I took out my other gpu and moved my gtx 670 out so i could take out the sound card and move it down. When i turned it on the monitor didnt light up. everything else was running smothly, but my monitor didnt connect. I tried the other gpu and that didnt work and i tried another spare gpu and that didnt work.

Can someone help me?

I think its the mobo. I just noticed that the mouse and keyboard isnt working when plugged in. Does this mean I need to buy a new mobo or is there a way to fix this

Well isnce im pretty sure its the motherboard i plan on getting Asus sabertooth 990fx. Thoughh if you guys know that it isnt the problem hope someone can point it out before i blow 200 bucks ^.^
