Windows 7: What's best card graphic for my pc ?

I going to buy a new card graphic soon,but I need to know what's the best card for my pc ?

OS : Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate X86
CPU : Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz
motherboard : Gigabyte Technology Co.,Ltd. (H61M-D2-B3)
Memory : 2x 2.0GB DDR3

You might be limited by your power supply if you want to get a high-end card.

We have no idea about your power supply or intended purpose of the PC or graphics.

I never heard of that power supply brand. It appears to be 240 watts and is likely to be of average quality at best.

I don't play games on my PC, so I cannot comment on what video card you need for your chosen games.

But----your PC, excluding the video card, probably uses 100 to 150 watts when working hard.

Mid-level and above graphics cards typically use at least 100 watts by themselves--so any such card would likely put too much stress on your power supply.

In your shoes, I would plan on getting another power supply. Personally, I'd get another power supply even if I was NOT upgrading the video card. A 240 watt high quality power supply may be enough for what you have now, but there is no reason to believe you have a high quality power supply.

Look for these brands: Seasonic, XFX, Corsair, or Antec.

A high quality 500 to 600 watt power supply is enough to power your PC and any single graphics card.

If you decide to go with only a mid-level graphics card, you could probably reduce the power supply to 400 or 450 watts if you stick with a high quality brand and model.

Since I don't play games on my PC, I'll leave it to others to suggest particular video cards.

Look to pay maybe 60 or 70 dollars on up to maybe 120 for the power supply, in the USA.

Any of these should work fine. The 430 watt unit would be OK for a mid-range graphics card. The others would work for high-end graphics cards.

You should first confirm that you have an ordinary "ATX" style case. If you do not, these may not fit.

If I were you, I would decide on what video card I wanted BEFORE actually ordering the power supply. Some video cards require certain connections and you need to be sure that your chosen power supply has those connectors (cables).

And if you have a real tall case, it may be that some power supply cables won't be long enough, but this is uncommon.

That's a good choice.

BUT, you still should choose your video card first. And then confirm that the XFX has the necessary cable connections to match the video card.

And I'd measure your existing power supply and compare those measurements to the measurements shown on the "details" tab for the XFX power supply at Newegg. It's nearly certain the XFX will fit your case, but I would still compare to be sure.

The XFX is NOT a "modular" power supply, which means it will probably have several cables connected to it that you will not use. If you got a "modular" power supply, you would be able to disconnect unnecessary cables, which would make for a neater installation. But it's not a big deal.

Is your case more than 18 inches tall?
