I has this issue but I fixed it as follows, rather than doing any of the other suggestions.

Try this:
- Open Computer Management.
- Go to Local Users and Groups -> Users
- Doubleclick UpdatusUser
- Uncheck User must change password at next logon
- Check User cannot change password
- Check Password never expires
- Click OK
- Start Services.msc
- Scroll down to "NVIDIA Update Service Daemon"
- Click Start.

Regards,
Stan

For those who, like me, have Windows 7 Home that came with the machine and can't access the Users and Groups feature (thank you Microsoft!!!)

Open command prompt as Administrator and type:
WMIC USERACCOUNT WHERE "Name='UpdatusUser'" SET PasswordExpires=FALSE

Should do the same thing as above

You should get a response like this, with a different domain name of course

Updating property(s) of '\\LENOVO\ROOT\CIMV2:Win32_UserAccount.Domain="Lenovo",N
ame="UpdatusUser"'
Property(s) update successful.
