| Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Windows XP Home SP3 Tejas, northern Mexico | Dell inspiron 1121/ m101z w/Intel HD: HDMI no output. how to??? anyone know this issue? this is a new-to-me 'tester' little 11.6" inspiron m101z with the intel i3 ULV proc and some iteration of Intel HD embedded. all the devices look right in device manager, and the embedded display looks fine, but I cannot get an output signal to HDMI port. user manual does not address, service manual doesn't either, there are no bios entries for hdmi, and the Intel 'control' panel [primitive] does not reference. The "display" hotkey [f1] cycles through 'computer-only', 'duplicate', 'extend', and 'projector only'. None show any trace of output. this is easy with a good device: I use these displays with my thinkpad with no issues. same cables, same setup, same everything but no signal. how to debug as to software/firmware/hardware ??? thanks z |
