Problem Moving Folder Windows

Hi

I've just bought a new computer with 2 screens. I can't seem to simply move a window without it automatically maximising regardless of how far I move it (and I'm no where near the edge of the screen).

When I begin to drag one, a green outline appears around my main monitor and a blue one on my second; both with a large number 1 in the centre of the screen in its respective colour.

It's a little frustrating as I can only either have a maximised window or a window in the position it automatically opens in.

Can anyone advise on how to stop this please? Ideally I want to be able to simple move any windows about without them maximising.

(I've tried 'prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen' but it's not had any effect)

Cheers
