Incorrect EDID on 2433bw

I've got a 2433bw with an incorrect EDID and because of this it displays max resolution of 1280x1024 (meant to be 1920x1200)

Nothing I've tried has made any difference. Tried installing the drivers from Samsung, but that just seems to update the monitor to the correct name in the registry, but not change the resolution information

I wanted to try and do a custom EDID override, but I can't figure out what I have to do from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...edid_over.docx

I like the idea of the registry override, cause I really don't want to try flashing the EDID on my monitor just yet...

Anyone got any ideas?
