    problem upgrading the graphic card

    hello

    my system configuration is :
    Motherboard :GA -8I865GME- 775
    CPU :intel p4 HT 3.06GHz
    RAM:1.5GB ddr1
graphics:On board intel 82865G graphics adapter
    PSU :450 Watt

i have an AGP 4x/8x(1.5v) slot

now i want to install a new graphics card in my AGP slot and my question is :

Can my pc handle a 1GB graphic card or i should stick to a 512Mb one.

    thank you in advance

Can you buy a 1GB AGP graphics card at the moment? They seem to be scarce (in the USA) at the moment.

If you can get one, the only harm that I foresee is a slightly higher cost than a 512MB model.

HIS H467QS1GHA Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Video Card - 1GB GDDR3, AGP, DVI, VGA, HDMI at TigerDirect.com

This would probally be your best bet if any

Also it would help if you added another stick of ram
Is your max ram 2gb DDR if so I would look into getting a one more 1Gb stick as well it will only help things along

i dont think its worth it..
for around this price you can buy nice mid end pcie gpu.. and anyways pentium 4 is slow cpu.
its better to save for new platform..
or buy second hand cheap agp card. 512MB for that level of GPU is enough.
