I'm not entirely sure what this means
I uninstalled, and during reinstallation:
Go to the driver file on your desktop that you downloaded and open it , click on properties and then install it in Compatibility Mode for vista.
Compatibility Mode
Ok, I've done exactly as you said, but the problem still persists ):
What happens is
-I uninstall the video card via device manager
-Reboot [Sometimes it prompts me to, otherwise I do it manually]
-After rebooting, it automatically detects and installs NVIDIA by itself, I'm not sure, but I think it's the 'plug and play' ?
-It prompts to reboot again, if I choose to 'reboot later' and try to install the downloaded updated driver first, it will prompt me to reboot as well
-Reboot again, [Plug and play NVIDIA installed; downloaded driver isn't] and the problem is still here
-Install the downloaded driver, but there is no change.
So basically, it's exactly as you've told me to do, except for the plug and play part, and I dunno how to stop it when its running, or disabling it, although I'm not sure if that'll help.
Thanks.
Sorry I had to go out for a while and will have to again in a few moments, in the meantime, try this program to get rid of your Driver, just follow the instructions, will talk to you later.
