I need answers, Please!! I have a HP Pavilion dv9540us Entertainment PC. I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional and I have tried everthing and spoke to the "Holder's of the Key" with no luck. They all want me to grease there palms for the answers, but why should I dig in my pocket when they created this nightmare by first deleting important .exe files, in an effort to remove a virus, rendering vista useless and then advising me to install Windows 7 with a disk they sent me. They kindly reinstalled Office 2010 for me due to the fact that they indirectly removed Office 2007 while trying to correct the same problem back in Dec. 2011. Now we get to the ongoing problem of my computer not recognizing the Nvidia 2X GeForce 8600M GS Graphics Card that was originally on my laptop. All it shows is Standard VGA Graphics Adaptor. I have tried to install Verde R295 Driver
Version 296.10 with no luck. It looks good until the reboot then all I get is black and white strips then a restart that leads to a restore. My understanding is that there is an additional driver required. What the *&%$ is it? Everthing I try leads me back to an earlier restore point with that damn Standard VGA Adaptor. Please help me so I don't have to give in to these hostage takers.
Oh ya, did I mention that my screen saver won't work? It Says, "The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D."
