Which card is the equivalent to..

My 2 gtx 550 ti in SLi. They are both overclocked to 1ghz.
I have an amd board and am using the SLi hack right now. It's becoming a real headache installing new drivers and I would like to move back to 1 (or 2 in crossfire to avoid hack) card that's at least equal or better.

I'm looking at a hd 7870. Anyone have one of these? Looks like it outperforms the gtx 570 by a small amount which should be quite a bit better than the dual 550's.

    Hi,

There have been quite a few rumours of the GTX 660ti being released around the 18th August.

Performance wise, it is supposed to be more powerful than the GTX580, so if you can it might be worth holding off until that is released to see how the pricing is for it.

If you don't want to wait for the 660ti, I'd choose the 7870.

    For $20, get the 7870.

If you'd like a suggestion from way out in left field, get a new AMD motherboard that supports SLI:

    ASUS - Motherboards

nVidia has been licensing SLI to AMD for a while.

What are the prices you are seeing for the 6950 and 7870?
I just ordered an XFX 6950 from newegg.com for $207 with Battlefield 3 and Deus Ex. It also has a $30 rebate bringing the price down to $177.

Bought the 6970 yesterday. Looked like the best option for the price.
