Which card is the equivalent to.. My 2 gtx 550 ti in SLi. They are both overclocked to 1ghz.
I have an amd board and am using the SLi hack right now. It's becoming a real headache installing new drivers and I would like to move back to 1 (or 2 in crossfire to avoid hack) card that's at least equal or better. | My System Specs |

I'm looking at a hd 7870. Anyone have one of these? Looks like it outperforms the gtx 570 by a small amount which should be quite a bit better than the dual 550's. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Built By Me OS windows 7 ultimate x64 CPU Amd phenom II x4 980Be @4.4ghz Motherboard Foxconn A9DA-s Memory 8gb ddr3 Graphics Card Msi radeon hd 6970 lightning Sound Card onboared realtech Monitor(s) Displays Aoc 24" led Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft natual ergonomic 4000 Mouse Logitech Mx1000 laser mouse PSU Thermaltake 850watt Case Zalman Z9 Cooling Corsair H60 Hard Drives seagate barracuda Internet Speed 25Mbps |

Hi,
There have been quite a few rumours of the GTX 660ti being released around the 18th August.
Performance wise, it is supposed to be more powerful than the GTX580, so if you can it might be worth holding off until that is released to see how the pricing is for it.

There is a $20 difference. If you don't want to wait for the 660ti, I'd choose the 7870. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number SmartEyeball Custom Systems OS 8 Pro x64 CPU i7 3770K 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS P8Z77 WS (great board good slot placement) Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz Graphics Card 2x Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WindForce SLI Sound Card X-FI Forte 7.1 + ATH-AD900 Headphones Monitor(s) Displays x3 Dell U2410 / 58" Samsung / "40 Sony Screen Resolution 1920*1200 / 1920*1080 Keyboard Topre Realforce // Ducky Shine MX Black // Filco Ninja TKL Mouse Razer Imperator + Thermaltake Theron PSU Corsair AX1200W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives 2x Intel 520 240GB (RAID 0) * 2x WD Caviar Blacks 2TB (RAID 0) * 2TB WD Caviar Black Antivirus MSE Browser Opera, Chrome, FF Other Info GT Extreme V2 Sim Racing Cockpit + 40" LCD and K/B Mouse stand ▼

For $20, get the 7870.
If you'd like a suggestion from way out in left field, get a new AMD motherboard that supports SLI: ASUS - Motherboards
nVidia has been licensing SLI to AMD for a while. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number homegrown OS Windows 7 Pro X64 SP1 CPU Intel Core I7-3930k Motherboard Asus P9X79 Pro Memory 16 GB Gskill DDR3-2133 Graphics Card eVGA GTX680 Sound Card Creative X-Fi Titanium Monitor(s) Displays As PA246Q Screen Resolution 1920 X 1200 Keyboard cheap Logitech USB Mouse Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer (old optical) USB PSU PCP&C Silencer 750 Crossfire Case Silverstone FT02 Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives Corsair Force GT, 120 GB

What are the prices you are seeing for the 6950 and 7870?
I just ordered an XFX 6950 from newegg.com for $207 with Battlefield 3 and Deus Ex. It also has a $30 rebate bringing the price down to $177. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage
