That was the obvious solution that you were reluctant to take but instead blame your video card. If you could buy a game for $50 I don't see a reason why you can't upgrade to 8GB of memory.

As I already stated, Windows 7 alone uses 2GB of memory. I don't see how you could play other games when you barely meet the requirement to run your operating system.

Why 4GB? 8GB cost only $10 more and you get double the RAM.

It wasnt that i didnt believe you guys,it was just that at the time i couldnt confirm what you guys were suggesting. Now i have, hence posted
Plus my beliefs were not misplaced either,i used to play BF3 on a 5670 1GB/128bit which is a low end GPU before and it worked perfectly fine but had a problem with nvidea GPU and even a GTX 460 1GB SC one at that. I guess its true that BF3 prefers AMD GPU's.

Looking for a new GPU... Any advice?
I've been building up a semi-decent gaming rig over a rather long period of time, so most people would probably want to suggest I throw it out and start from scratch. Honestly, I would love to do that, but it's just not possible with my budget right now... Other than the specs listed below my...
