Computer Stutters While Playing/Streaming Video or Gaming Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 2600k @3.4
GPU: Asus ENGTX 570
RAM: 8 Gb Corsair Vengeance
Mobo: Asus P8p67 Deluxe Description:
The computer freezes completely and any audio being played stutters. This lasts only for about a second or two and then the computer resumes normal function. This only happens 1 time every few minutes and more frequently while gaming, so Im assuming its a graphics card issue.
I have noticed this problem happening while streaming videos on Netflix, and while playing games. Originally I thought it was a hard drive problem because I have heard the Marvell SATA controller has had issues. But that isnt the problem.
All of my drivers are up to date and there hasnt been a BSOD or any error message. I also updated the BIOS to the latest version. | My System Specs |

Try this:
Go to Start and type in "Event Viewer" (without the quotations).
Expand the Custom Views Tab and select "Administrative Events".
Find any errors related to your display and post them back. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell - Vostro 430 OS Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i7 860 @2.80GHz Motherboard Dell 054KM3 Memory 6144MB DDR3-SDRAM (3 x 2048 DDR3) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 310 Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio ALC662 Monitor(s) Displays Dell Computer DELL E2311H Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Rapoo Wireless Keyboard Mouse Rapoo Wireless Mouse PSU J515T 350W Case 14.58inH x 6.69inW x 17.43inD Cooling Fan from the Box heehee Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda ST3750528AS (750 GB) Internet Speed 1 byte every 2.6 hours Other Info Dreaming of building a new PC :D

I didnt find anything that said anything about the display, but I did find this:
"The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted because the shadow copy storage could not grow due to a user imposed limit."

Yes but it usually only stutters once. As opposed to start, stop, start, stop. I will be playing, it then stutters, and goes away for a few minutes. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit |

This particular problem was down to games for windows live client requesting network access every two minute intervals, and like clockwork, it stuttered every two minutes exactly, have you checked your firewall to see if anything is blocked? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Q6600 @ 2.6Ghz Motherboard Evga NF78-CK-132-A 3-Way SLI Memory 4Gb DDR2 Corsair Dominator @ 800Mhz 5-5-5-15 Graphics Card EVGA 560 GTX SC FTW 1GB Sound Card Realtek HD 7.1 Audio, Plantronics GameCom780 7.1 Headset Monitor(s) Displays Dell S2409W 16:9, HDMi, DVI & VGA Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech generic keyboard Mouse Razor Lachesis Banshee V2 Blue, 4000DPI PSU Xigmatek 750W Quad sli quad core 80% eff Case Antec 900 Gaming Case Cooling Zalman CNPS9700-NT NVIDIA Tritium Hard Drives Samsung 7200rpm 250Gb SATA

There doesnt seem to be anything blocked. But the stuttering also happens randomly, it isnt a regularly timed thing. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit |

I've had similar problem as you describe. In the end it was lack of motherboard drivers for some component. I think it was the raid drivers or something that seriously hurt the functions of the HDD on that system. I suggest you go to MB manufactures site and actually install their drivers even if Windows 7 device manager is not showing any problems because sometimes it just doesnt detect it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number selfmade OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel i7 860 Motherboard asus p7p55d Memory 8 gig Graphics Card ATI HD 5700 Sound Card onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays LG LX40 Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 Keyboard reg Mouse laser A4 Case generic Cooling some generic fans Hard Drives 1 TB Computer Stutters While Playing/Streaming Video or Gaming problems?
