Display driver stopped working and has been succesfully recovered

Hi.
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x32 and when windows started up i got error something like "Display driver stopped working and has been succesfully recovered" and after that different color lines started appearing on monitor and computer freeze.i can only go to safe mode,i have geforce 9600 gt,i installed newest driver 301 and it was same,then i installed 295.73 and that message stopped appearing and lines stopped appearing but computer still freezes after a few seconds-minute after windows starts up.i tried many different solutions and nothing works .pls help me.btw when it freezes then i need to restart computer.
My specs:
570W PRO PSU dual fan
2gb DDR2
Geforce 9600 gt
AMD Athlon II X2 260 Processor (2Cpus) 3.2ghz
motherboard Asus M3A78.btw sorry for my bad english.

Have you tried system restore?

Thanks for your reply,i did it right now,the only option was before windows update.It didnt freezed for now but i think if it stopped freezing it will start again after next update,i stopped windows from updating,but now im not sure which driver should i install for graphic card newest one or older?
