Either your VGA cable is shorting out or not properly connected. Try to remove and reconnect your VGA cable and see if it fixes the red tint. If not, try another VGA cable. Also if you are using DVI to VGA adapter, try to use another one. If that still does fix the red and pink tint, your GPU is going to retire soon. I used to have this problem with my computer before. I just replaced the VGA cable plus the DVI to VGA adapter and the red and pink tint were gone and never came back. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Optiplex SX270, Lenovo Z470 OS Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 CPU Intel® Pentium® 4 @ 2.26 GHz, Intel Core i7-2670QM @ 2.20 GH Motherboard Dell, Lenovo Memory 512MB Dual channel DDR SDRAM @ 400MHz 2.5-3-3-7, 8 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Intel 82865G, Nvidia GeForce 520M Graphics Sound Card SoundMax Integrated Audio, Integrated HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG W1952 Screen Resolution 1440x900, 1366 x 768 Keyboard Dell SK-8125 USB Keyboard Mouse Dell PS/2 2 button ball mouse with wheel scroll PSU Dell 145 Watt, Lenovo 120 Watt Power Adapter Case Optiplex SX270 Small Form Factor, Laptop Cooling Dell Proprietary Air Cooling, Stock laptop cooling Hard Drives 40 GB 2.5" IDE 4200 RPM HDD, 500 GB 5400 RPM Sata 1.5 + 32 GB SSD Internet Speed 10 Mbit down / 1 kbps up Road Runner Cable Antivirus MSE, Malwarebytes Scanner Browser Internet Explorer 10 Other Info Running Windows Server 2012 Datacenter on a virtural machine to run Metro Apps. |

In addition to the above, check the colour temperature setting on the monitor. A warm setting increases the red content, whereas a cold one increases the blue. For best results, I suggest the normal setting or, if available, sRGB. In addition, if not using the native resolution of the monitor, adjust your graphics settings so that you are. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dwarf Dwf/11/2012 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core-i5-3570K 4-core @ 3.4GHz (Ivy Bridge) (OC 4.2GHz) Motherboard ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M Memory 4 x 4GB DDR3-1600 Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B (16GB) Graphics Card 2 x AMD Radeon HD7770 1GB CrossFired (OC 1100MHz/1250MHz) Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 898) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 for Business (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Gigabyte IF233 Cooling 1 x 120mm Front Inlet 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Agility 3 SSD 120GB SATA III x2 (RAID 0)

Same thing happened to me earlier this week when I finally got my 19 inch.
I thought it was the screen, accidentally touched my VGA cable and it fixed it.
I was really glad so, try that out! Sounds like your monitor is dying, but still try to borrow a monitor and test it on your computer before you think of replacing your monitor. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Optiplex SX270, Lenovo Z470 OS Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 CPU Intel® Pentium® 4 @ 2.26 GHz, Intel Core i7-2670QM @ 2.20 GH Motherboard Dell, Lenovo Memory 512MB Dual channel DDR SDRAM @ 400MHz 2.5-3-3-7, 8 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Intel 82865G, Nvidia GeForce 520M Graphics Sound Card SoundMax Integrated Audio, Integrated HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG W1952 Screen Resolution 1440x900, 1366 x 768 Keyboard Dell SK-8125 USB Keyboard Mouse Dell PS/2 2 button ball mouse with wheel scroll PSU Dell 145 Watt, Lenovo 120 Watt Power Adapter Case Optiplex SX270 Small Form Factor, Laptop Cooling Dell Proprietary Air Cooling, Stock laptop cooling Hard Drives 40 GB 2.5" IDE 4200 RPM HDD, 500 GB 5400 RPM Sata 1.5 + 32 GB SSD Internet Speed 10 Mbit down / 1 kbps up Road Runner Cable Antivirus MSE, Malwarebytes Scanner Browser Internet Explorer 10 Other Info Running Windows Server 2012 Datacenter on a virtural machine to run Metro Apps. |

If you haven't already I would go into the monitor settings and reset them all to defaults. If that doesn't fix it I'd return it or replace it. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate AMD64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz Motherboard Asus M4N68T-M V2 µATX Motherboard Memory 8GB 4GBx2 Kingston PC10600 DDR3 1333 Memory Graphics Card BFG NVIDIA Geforce 220GT 1 Gig DDR2 PCIe Sound Card VIA VT1708s High Definition Audio 8-channel Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2 x 19" I-INC AG191D TFT Flat Panel Screen Resolution 1280x1024 x 2 Keyboard Logitech Internet 600 Mouse Logitech Wireless Trackman Wheel PSU Retail Plus 465 Watt Case Power Up Black ATX Mid-Tower Case Cooling Stock heatsink and fan Hard Drives 500 Gig WesternDigital SATA-300 Drive Internet Speed 80 Mbps Down 30 Mbps Up Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser Internet Explorer 10 Other Info HP DVD1040e Lightscribe - External USB2 |

I bought my monitor a year ago from Best Buy. I might buy me another monitor end of year out. | My System Specs | | Red/Pink tint in the wallpaper background problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:21 AM. | |
