Screen Resolution wont exceed 1024 X 768 on a

My Toshiba Satellite C650 has a native resolution of 1366 x 76, but control panel will not let me exceed 1024 X 768. The icons and windows look pretty pixelated, and considering it could be better, I'd like to know how to change this. I downloaded the latest display drivers from the Toshiba website. The monitor is 15.6" and the display looks a bit stretched. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
