gtx 460 2win question

I have a evga gtx 460 2win and I thought it would show as 1 card but it doesn't. It is 2 cards in 1 slot. It is also supposed to be 2048mb gddr5 but it shows 1023 for each card. Does anyone know if it is supposed to be like this?

All correct.

It's basically two graphics cards (each with 1GB of memory, unshared) in a single package. If you SLI the GPUS, you'll get performance, but effectively 1GB of video memory. That's normal with SLI. (The texture data are duplicated in each memory set.)

The twin is basically 2 separate GPu's snapped together on one PCB. both have same specs and same amount of memory. You should see 2 gpu's and 1gb memory for each of them.
