    Upgrading graphics card and compatibility help


    Hi there, pretty soon i will be upgrading my graphics card, and i want to know if the new graphics card that im going to buy will work or is compatible with my motherboard?

    New Graphics card:
    ASUS - Graphics Cards- ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5

    Motherboard:
    ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P8H61-M LE/USB3

    Extra Info:

    PSU: Builder Series

    Short answer, Yes it will work just fine on that motherboard.

    The PSU should be fine also, just double check your case to make sure the card will fit before buying. I expect it will but its always best to check these things.

    Thanks! i just want to make sure that my current mobo is compatible, and yea im also buying a new case :)

    Excellent point, my HD 6950 did fit my M4A785-M but I had to do some major re-routing of wires and abandon the HDD slot at the end of the video card slot.
