Sony Vaio NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M Win7 x64 Drivers needed

    Hi to everyone,
I cannot find graphics drivers that will fully install for my Sony Vaio Notebook.
    The model number is VPCL138FG
My operating system in Windows 7 x64 bit
The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

The official sony link for my laptop is
    http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/vpcl138fg
This PC is classed as a notebook / laptop but isnt if you look at the product on vaio website.

    The Nvidia Link is
    http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-296.10-whql-driver-uk.html

Basically i have never encountered Nvidia drivers before, i was always an ATI user.
I have been playing skyrim and after a patch it has send the graphics in game totally crazy, looking around people say to update gfx drivers.
To which i tracked down the driver i need and tried to install and ended up with " the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" error.
I have heard about this problem before but never owned a Nvidia card what can i do?

Can someone here assist on what to do

    Thankyou

most nvidia laptops use optimus that means they use integrated intel gpu + nvidia
best thing is to update driver from nvidia site but please note:
"The following Sony VAIO notebooks are included in the Verde notebook program: Sony VAIO F Series with NVIDIA GeForce 310M, GeForce GT 330M, GeForce GT 425M, GeForce GT 520M or GeForce GT 540M. Other Sony VAIO notebooks are not included at this time (please contact Sony for driver support)."
for some reason sony limits general driver usability.
so you may be stuck with sony support.

    thanks for the reply

yea i have realized there is an issue between nvidia and sony
i have been on to sony support people today, asking why there has been no graphics update for a year!, awaiting some kind of reply from them.
i have another sony laptop which is 2 years old and no gfx updates have ever been relased for that either
i tried the Verde notebook program, but it directs me to download the very same drivers that i cannot install LOL

i heard there is modded drivers? but i have no clue what im looking for and what to do when i got them and as an extra i dont want to make things worse

Should install on any laptop with Nvidia graphics that doesn't have switchable graphics (uses Intel graphics for low power use),

that is what some manufacturers do they release hardware throw some old drivers (not the most new ones for release date even) out and forget about it. sony notebooks is good eaxample. and the problem is that sony wont let to use drivers from chip manufacturer (in this case nvidia).. why? that is beyound me. i dont know about hardware quality but sony laptops are a bit more expensive ones.. so naturally you would hope for good software support but nope.. you get some bloatware, old drivers and thats it
before i buy laptop or any other hardware i always research drivers support.

I have had success in updating a Vaio VPCL13M1E (with a GT330M) to the Nvidia 306.23 drivers. I did this my trawling forums for months and eventually trying a modded INF and the 306.23 drivers which are billed as Windows 8 64 Bit. I did a clean install and it works fine at last.

    Direct Link : v306.23 Windows 8 64bit | NVIDIA OEM Mobile - 30x Series GeForce Driver release - LaptopVideo2Go Forums

Every other modded INF I have tried - and I have tried a lot - did not work

Hope someone is helped by this !!
