Monitor do not get signals from my new PC. Hello.
I got a problem with my new setup.
When i boot up my PC, my monitor dos not get any signal.
Its a new build, with a new case, mobo, cpu gpu and a SSD. got the PSU and ram from my older one.
The mobo is a ASUS P8Z77-V
The GPU is a HIS radeon 7970 ghz edition
The CPU is a i5-3570K
The SSD is a crucial m4 128gb
The case is a CoolerMaster HAF MX miditower.
So i me and 2 friends sat down to build the new system.
Every thing is in palce, where it should be. think we checkt every cable and connector like 3 times, all was in place.
We started up and all fans and lights in the case started. But my monitor says "no signal"
Any ideas? | My System Specs |

Hi. Have few things to ask you.
Did you try reinsert the video card to make sure it's properly in contact with the slot?
What connector the monitor has? is it VGA or DVI (analog/digital)?
---
If the mobo has onboard vga port you can try it from there. means that if you did try the above measures and the onboard is giving signal, in can be the VGA card is defective?
Try checking the monitor out with other machine also can be an option to rule out card problem

Hello.
its a DVI connecter.
And yes i have tryed the onboard gpu on the mobo still no signal.
But no luck there.
I have a friend coming over with some new RAM chips. Cuse the RAM i have is 1.65V.
And as far as i know my CPU dos not support 1.65, but only 1.5 so im gona test that out and see how it goes. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Core i5 Quad Processor i5-2300 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-PH67-UD3, Socket-1155 Memory Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9 Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 7970 GHz X 3GB GDDR5 Monitor(s) Displays LG FLATRON W2453V Keyboard Razer some thing Mouse Logitech G400 PSU Chieftec Nitro Series BPS-950C 950W PSU Case Cooler Master HAF XM Midi Tower Black Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU cooler Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar® Black 500GB Internet Speed 25mb |

Silly questions; do you have the GPU in the right slot? What type of cable are you using to connect the monitor? Are you connecting the the monitor to the mobo or to the GPU? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Motherboard Asus M4N78 Pro Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 6790 D Sound Card On board VIA High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors:Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Screen Resolution 1600 X 900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Thermaltake Overseer RX 1 full tower Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)

The most important question: Have you downloaded and installed the latest driver for your GPU? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Motherboard Asus M4N78 Pro Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 6790 D Sound Card On board VIA High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors:Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Screen Resolution 1600 X 900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Thermaltake Overseer RX 1 full tower Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)

Have to ask basic question. Did you recheck all PSU connection to mobo? At worst, your PC will still come to POST screen regardless any driver issue.
Did you also notice a beeping sound? (memory problem) Additional Info.
