Last time I saw this happen all I had to do was rerun the windows experience score from the system panel.
It realized it was being stupid and everything was good again.

control panel -> system (you may have to set small icons in view)
Click windows experience index
then at bottom right click re-run assessment.
Do this while nothing else is running on the system to get the best score you can.
Screen may flicker while it's running, that's normal.
close everything i had running and i did the re-assessment. then restarted my computer and im still getting the same issue. this is ridiculous. thanx for the idea though.
Sorry to hear it, you'll probably need to do a complete wipe of the driver with driver sweeper or something, I would link you but apparently the link I had for it is no longer good.
Hi got the same problem started couple of days ago, right after i updated ccc to latest version.
did a rollback and all looked fine but after installing the old drivers the problem returned...
It looks like a windows setting is corrupt and it allows offscreen desktop, my left border is not solid any more and if i print screen i can see the extra useless desktop wallpaper. is there a tweak that "closes the border" like a reg edit that allows manual overwrite of the screenborders?
Aero if out too but i dont really care about that..
Already backing up my files to do a clean windows install... the problem is new and nobody knows how to solve this...
The funny thing is I have dualboot on my system with win7 & 8 and have the exact same Xtreme-G 12-9 driver installed without any issues on 8. If I find a solution I will post it. Did u try an older driver? before 12-4? I heard there where some issues so going to try that as a next step.
to anybody who is reading this with the same problem i solved the issue i had some third party video drivers for an iphone app. if you have run out of solutions check your device manager and rid of all unnecessary display adapters.
