Windows 7: Uninstalled video driver but now need to reinstall

Hi all,

I recently uninstalled my video driver as it was causing my computer to freeze.



I am now wanting to reinstall it however I cannot remember the model so do not know what to download from the geoforce site.

I have scanned for hardware changes in device manager but nothing comes up. I also ran the autoscan on the geoforce site but it did not detect anything.

Any other way of finding out the model so that I can plug in the details and do a manual search on the geoforce site?

Hello Ben, follow the option two, Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers. It will determine the hardware and will get the appropriate driver,

If you want the info about the card, click Start, type msinfo32 in the search box and click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Expand components in the left hand side pane, click on display. It will provide all the necessary information about the card.

Is it written on the card, or on the box it came in? You can also try this: Right Click "Computer" > Properties > Windows Experience Index > View and print detailed performance and system information. I'll put up a screenshot showing you where to go.
