    cant connect my pc to my tv


    hello everyone! im new here...

    im trying to connect my pc to my tv (as the title says)

    but i cant... i have like a 15 second video of what im trying to do.
    im trying to use vga --> composite? the yellow wire with the sound (sorry im a noob with computers, correct me if im wrong with any of this)

    it shows that its connected. but i cant change the resolution of the 2nd display. here is an image of what im talking about.

    Now that`s multitasking. I do that also, only I use my blueray player. I`m assuming you mean movies on your pc ?

    Your only gonna get the resolution that that tv will allow.

    yea i know. the problem is nothing will show on my tv when i hook it up to my pc

    i guess im trying to make my tv another monitor for my computer... if that makes any sense.

    I used to do that a long time ago. If I'm to take a wild guess I'd point it to around the time Radeon HD 2000 series was out. I suggest skipping the entire idea though. It will be a blurred image even if you get it to work, the tone will be off, frame rates are so-so and you will see screen tear.

    *Also that was when I started experimenting with custom builts. It looked so horrible I sat almost 90 degrees angle away from the front of the tele because I thought it would be overstressed and go boom*

    But if you're keen on giving it a shot, make sure the components you're using to link your tele and your comp are working well. For an output to be recognized, all that's needed is a connection to it. Functionality may be a different story. I can't really remember but I'm pretty sure you wont be able to do much with the resolution too.
