    Help with new monitor!

    Hello,
I am new to the forums and was hoping to get some help on adjusting and getting the ideal settings i'm looking for with this new monitor. First off i'm using windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I have a Geforce 9800 gtx+ video card with a HDMI going to my new Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1. Just curious do I need a driver for this monitor to get ideal settings? What Resolution ect should be be running? I just want the best look and i'm not sure if I have achieved my max look on my own, but curious to see what you have to say as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

assuming it has an hdmi slot on it, you should be able to plug right in.
The nvidia console should detect it, but it's a 720p, which means a resolution of 1280×720.

Nevermind found the model it has a old style vga for pc use all the same the nvidia console should detect and set up most the stuff for you.
Once the computer is set up I would also make sure the tv (since that's what it is) is in game mode if it has one. This will turn off a bunch of features tv's have now that don't really work with pc signals.

Well 1280x720 doesn't actually fit. It's something like 1216x690. Does that make sense?

It may just not be scaling right, if you open up the nvidia control center there should be an adjustment to the effect of 'adjust desktop size and position' you should be able to get it to all fit properly at the right resolution there. Everything in the nvidia control panel has tooltips so just hover over something if you don't know what it is.

Thank you, I saw the scaling section in there. Now i'm running scaled 1280x720.
