I've got a Asus GTX 560 Ti and i want the optimum performance for it.

Iv got this brand new 560 ti, and like im playing AC revelations..the shadow there comes like in a jagged way..is it that the games old? or is it my graphics card just pushed to its boundaries!? how can i change this..and make the game look better..?? iv noticed the same thing on another game.."I AM ALIVE". the shadows are not smooth..they've got jagged edges! :s

another question: PERFORMANCE TWEAKING LIKE clock speed tweaking..is it any good? will it be worth it..if i overclock a bit??

hi,
you should find a compromise bewtween performance and 3D quality in games. The GTX 560 Ti is a good card, but if you play at high resolution with ultra graphic settings games like AC Revelations, it is possible that the game will not run perfeclty smoothly.
If you are experiencing lag, try lowering AA to 4 or 2 samples, turn off VSync and maybe set shadows quality to medium.
Shadows in AC 1/2/Brotherhood/Revelations aren't really fine (in Xbox 360 too). They move really slowly and sometimes they snap. To fix them, try to set in Nvidia Control Panel, in advanced options, shadows quality at maximum settings. Vsync could also cause this issue (i remember in GTA IV it did).

Performance tweaking: should you overclock the card? if you want yes, you should gain a few fps (sometimes you wouldn't notice it, sometimes you could get a nice performance increase)... It depends of how much are you going to overclock it.
Actually I'm overclocking a GTS 450 by 15% (both memory and GPU) and I didn't really see a noticeable performance increase... Just 3-4 fps more on open-spaces in Skyrim at ultra settings (and tweaked).

So, if you didn't really need it, don't overclock your new GTX 560 Ti. Or, if you are going to do it, be really careful by tweaking voltages. I burned an HD 3450 a while ago...

thank you for the insight...i wanna tweak it a lil bit..see what comes out of it..but im kinda scared if the gpu crashes u know...so what i'll do is wait for my elder brother to come back and do tht overclocking thingy together!!

i dont experience lag..just that the edge of the shadows are jagged...which just doesnt look good!

if you don't experience lag, don't risk and keep your GPU at default frequencies.

Shadows in these games are bad because of the graphic engine they use... Search for patches/fixes/mods for these games, maybe some of them will solve this bug.
