what makes you think a different driver will work this driver is straight from Intel.

    why not do two things

First go into device manager (type device manager in search) look for the display adapter and see if it is listed and working properly. Right click properties. If the driver is working correctly then it is somehthing else

Second what is the exact problem?

Tell us all about your computer make, model, ram., cpu, 32bit of 64, clean install or upgrade, monitor, etc

    sch

did you check device manger to see if the driver is installed correctly?

Have you checked the checked the cables?

with the power off (its a desktop, right?) pull out the video card and re-seat it.

More than likely it is the driver, but we need to go into devmgr to find out

If you need help with any of these steps let us know, thats what we are here for

Check with your ,otherboard manufacturer and see if their is a bios update. And you might want to update your chipset drivers as well. If windows didn't already install the most recent drivers for your board. Welcome to sevenforums.

Not sure if this will help but Windows 7 does have built-in Colour calibration.

Right click on desktop select personalise select display from the lower left menu options then calibrate display.

You may also find similar controls from your graphics driver in the advance display settings that may be available here, these are driver dependent

In addition check what control options are available on the actual monitor sometime a degauss or reset will clear this type of issue
