Deciding on a video card requires suggestions

GTraymond2820 that sound like a wise choice to me. It will give you time to do research on new hardware that comes out. A method that works for me is simple.
I start with choosing case (PC tower) with great cooling a lot of room and quality power supply (Corsair, Seasonic) bigger than I will need. Then cpu and motherboard are next then the ram (as much as I can afford) to match the motherboard and cpu specs. Then the video card. This will take time but is somewhat enjoyable. If the dollars start getting a little to high and you have to cut back a little I recommend not doing it with the case or power supply. They are the roots of your computer and you can always built up from there.

A HP case is designed to do just the bare minimum for the hardware it came with. If you decide to use it you will have to do modifications to it for proper cooling. I understand we all are not rich. You are talking about a $500.00 to $1000.00 video card plus a top of the line motherboard, cpu, and ram it would seem to me a new case would be the proper way to go. When you do your research you will find many cases that will fit your needs for $200.00 or less. You will need room and proper air circulation and proper wire/harness management. Do yourself and your hardware a favor and look into it.
