Windows 7: Graphics driver not taking after install...restarts after install

Hi there i am frixing a really old pc with a GA - GF2560 card in works fine but just needs drivers to make the scene more smooth. I have tried two versions 45.23(beta) and 71,83 those are the only two i could get.

The 45.23(beta) is to old it doesn't change a thing



The 71.83 after install my pc restarts so i have to restore it the whole time.

How can i fix this or is there other versions somewhere please...

Hi Core7, At 12 years old the GFX card as become "legacy" and has far as I know no driver is available later than the 71.83 ,I will have a search for you but don't hold out for anything

Edit this is the latest driver http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_2k_71.89.html that I could find give it a try It's only the win XP version

i have tried 71.89 but the file size was a bit smaller....still going to try this one though

did not work ....what to do now...is there any cool programs that can find and install default drivers just so that the working of windows is smoother?
