nVidia Quadro NVS 135M problem

I have a Dell D630 laptop with an nVidia Quadro NVS 135M GPU, originally WinXP, now running Windows 7. This GPU had hardware problems, resulting in "scrambled display", based on which Dell replaced many units under warranty. My laptop is long out of warranty.

While I ran Windows 7 for the last 6 months without evidence of the g4raphics problem, it has now appeared. What is interesting is that the laptop will run in Safe Mode without problems.

I know Safe Mode graphics disable some graphics features present in Normal Mode. Is there a way I can disable these same features in Normal Mode, and run Windows 7 so that graphics are OK in Normal Mode? How/which features?

Thx, Gus
