    Different User Resolutions

    Hello all.

I hope my question hasn't been answered in here yet.
At least my search didn't return any. So here it is then:

Since my wife'n'myself prefer different screen resolutions
I've been using this nifty li'l program called "XP Keep Per
User Display Settings", but obviously it's made for WinXP.
(I'm still on Windows XP, but will install 7 Ultimate soon)
Does anybody in here know about a similar program for
Windows 7? What I want is for Windows to preserve my
settings, & execute with "my" resolution when logging in,
and my wife's preferred resolution when we shift user.
Or is this function perhaps already implemented in 7 ?
Many thanx in advance, & greetings from Sweden!

You should be able to set individual screen resolutions just on their settings screen.

Let me know if it works. This is not something I tried, merely a guess.

    Hello Televinken,

Sorry, but the screen resolution settings are uninversal in all user accounts in Windows7 as well. If it's changed in one user account, it is changed in all user accounts on the computer.

    Sorry,
    Shawn

    Hi

This may be a suitable application for your needs ....

Download Screen Resolution Manager, Screen Resolution Manager 5.2 Download

It states Vista compatibility so should work with Windows 7

       Note

This is a recommendation based on the specification of the program and your stated needs not from personal experience. please take all reasonable precautions, (set a restore point), before installing

Hey, thanx for all your answers! This is really a minor "disgrace" from M$.
One would have thought that they had finally fixed it, in this new fine os.
Oh well, I will give Barman's suggestion a go, as soon as I have installed.
If anyone would care to test my XP version on their 7, just lemme know.
    Have a nice one, laddies.

You could create a simple batch file to run on account sign in to change the resolution size. If you want to have to deal with that you could, lol. Honestly it to much work for me.

Well I admit that it might sound like a ridiculous "problem" to most people.
However, it's really a pain in the *** being forced to manually change the
screen resolution, each'n'every time you log on to your account. My wifey
& I have only one PC, so we log in'n'out many times a day. Quite annoying
