Windows 7: Blue patches/spaces appear everywhere in Windows &, LAPTOP

Hi guys,
I'm having serious issues with my windows vista laptop display.
I have a Dell Inspiron M501R and this is what everything looks like;

To be honest, I'm not even sure if you'll be able to see what I'm trying to fix but hopefully this image will display my problem.
If not, what's happening is; everywhere on my display patches of light blue spots appear. Mostly where there should be white space. Even in my images, white spaces are now the same annoying blue.
I recently connected my laptop to a TV, so we could watch a movie on a bigger screen. I don't know if that will help or is somehow the cause of this problem.
This Laptop is just over a year old, I shouldn't need to replace it yet!!!

The image you have posted is not viewable. Try making a print screen preview, or using snipping tool (type "snipping tool" in start menu), then upload the .png file. I'm really not a pc expert, but if you do what i said, you will probably solve your problem faster.
