Is a 128-bit graphics processor Bad?

I bought this : ZOTAC GeForce GTX 650 128-bit 2GB GDDR5 (1071 MHz/5000 MHz) for my GF. but after receiving it i saw that its a 128-bit graphics processor... Should i return the card and buy her another with a 256-bit graphics processor? (shes a gamer)

Depends on what games your GF plays. If you can pay for a graphics card with a 256-bit memory bus, then go ahead. If you're sticking to NVidia, IIRC you would have to go with at least a GTX 670 (since the GTX 660's only have a 192-bit memory bus) and those are roughly three times the price you paid for a GTX 650.

If you have to spend $125, you may wanna take a look at the Radeon HD 7770. Pretty much the same price as the GTX 650 on Newegg, but performs better in benchmarks: AnandTech - Bench - GPU12

I can tell you this... in my old system I had a nVidia 4800 Series SLI card and it was excellent.

In this system I have the AMD 7870 and it's excellent also. It has 2 gigs of memory and can run multiple monitors is you want. I was just speaking to Alienware about this card the other day.

    You won't be disappointed. Enjoy
