acer veriton usb/graphics question

Hello,

I saw a thread about an acer veriton regarding dual splitting off the one vga card but cannot find that thread anymore. I was going to do the same thing, split from the one card but as per your response it won't work because it's not powerful enough.
You suggested usb to vga
there's a kink in this for me. I bought 2-70dollar external usb to vga (Iogear) had them delivered last night was very excited only to find out it needs the software to install.
This is a work computer and won't allow anything to be installed. Even the web surfing of any kind is disabled.
So, saying that, I'm returning them. Is there any other option for another monitor to extend my desktop? Is there a usb to vga cable? I'm thinking maybe the cable with just pull the video from windows 7 and it won't need to grab anything off the net..suggestions?
