Issue with detecting multiple monitors.

Hey guys, I am having another trouble with my computer, I recently took up my mothers old Dell 21" widescreen monitor so I could have a better set up but as usual I am running into a bit of trouble with it. The monitor won't detect on my computer, I have updated my AMD catalyst to the most recent and my graphics drivers. It will only detect my LCD television at the moment, I have tried using windows key+P, and force detect through catalyst and through the screen resolution settings on the desktop.

The way I have it connected right now is from my tv vga adapter+DVI to DVI and then the dell monitor DVI to HDMI on the graphics card itself I have a HD Radeon Sapphire 6950.

Any help would be appreciated thank you :].
