    PC Freezes sometimes....sometimes restores

Sometimes my pc freezes...cant do anything anymore and also sound freezes. Then after a while it says the driver was not responding and has been restored. but sometimes it doesnt restore and then i have to manually power off the pc and restart it again. This problem happens both on desktop and on gaming.

    I have a GTX660 card not overclocked.

Hi borgqueenx, download this program and then run it to check your temperatures so we can eliminate overheating due to cooling issues.
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
Post back screen shots after gaming and routine use and we can take it from there.

    Hi borgqueenx,

Please try updating the 'display drivers' with the 'Geforce Manual Driver Search': Drivers | GeForce
    - Select 'GeForce' > 'GeForce 600 Series' > 'GeForce GTX 660' > Select the 'Operating System' installed in the computer > Download and install the driver > Restart PC and recheck performance

You may also try flashing 'BIOS' to see if that works.

    Hope this helps.

you may also need to check the physical status of your video card. check if it has damaged/burst capacitors. better change the vidcard immediately if you see one.

my brother has a AMD card and he has desame problem. trying to figure out if it isnt power or something....although we both have enough watts to power the card and PSU's that can deal with peaks in voltage or something.

    Hi borgqueenx,

Would like to know if you tried updating the 'video drivers'; you may also try a clean re install if an update does not work.

For a clean re-installation, open 'Device Manager' > Expand 'Display Adapters' > Right click 'AMD' to uninstall > Restart the computer > Install a fresh driver again

Do reply with the results; would be glad to assist.
