MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk Twin Frozr III or MSI GTX 650 Ti Cyclone?

    Hi guys.
I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card and I have the possibility of buying either an as new MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk Twin Frozr III or a new MSI GTX 650 Ti Cyclone.
    Price is the same.
    Any advice?
    Thanks,

    J

    Hi there,

Well the GTX 650 is slightly more powerful, However the GTX 560 with the Twin Frozr III has a great cooling solution and very quiet.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Hey D3LL.
Actually the 560Ti Hawk is much more powerful that the 650 Ti almost in every aspect, at least that's what I read in every benchmark I could lay my hands on, and it actually runs a lot hotter under load than the 650 Ti, Twin Frozr or not.
    That's why I'm asking.
Newer technology with lower power consumption and temps or older tech but more power?

The 560 Ti I'm buying from a friend, used, the 650 Ti I'm buying down here in Argentina, so links wouldn't be much help.
    Thanks anyway.

Bloody hell the 560 is less powerful however still manages to come out on top with the FPS.

If I were you I'd go with the 560!

The 560 Ti has more Memory GB Bandwidth that is why it still beats out a 650 Ti Overclock it downright match the same specs

go with the 560Ti and a Slight Oc you will be fine

I wonder whether the benchmarks are for a regular 560ti or a 560ti 448? The latter is significantly better, and more expensive.

The 560 has a 256 bit path to VRAM, while the 650ti is 128 bits. If that's the explanation, I'm surprised that the effect is so large.

I guess people who bought the 650Ti wasted some Money eh ?

    @Bungee18
Hi, in my opinion, the gtx560ti is the better card, as log as your PSU is enough to power it.
However, I would recommend a Radeon HD7870 for your system cos your CPU is made by AMD also the hd7870 supports the latest DX11.1 HD7870 is a bit more expensive but plays better on battlefield 3 and other frostbite engine powered games (if you want to play those games), other than that, the GTX 560ti is a fine choice. And what a coincidence, we have the same casing!
