Need to configure displays iindependently on Windows 7 Home Prem. x64

    SYSTEM: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1
    AMD FX-4170 Zambezi 4.2GHz (4.3GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Quad-Core Processor (stock)
    ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Motherboard ( 1201 BIOS)
    EVGA 015-P3-1580-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit
    CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866Mhz RAM (factory settings)
    SATA WD 300GB Velociraptor
SATA II WD 1TB Caviar Black FALS
SATA II WD 1TB Caviar Black FAEX
SATA III LG GH22LS30 CD/DVD Burner
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Quad EPS12V
ViewSonic G90FB Black 19" CRT Monitor
    Generic Harman Kardon (3)
Logitech Optical M-BT96a Coolermaster ATCS 840 Full Tower Case
    3x230mm, 1x120mm, Optional: 3x Scythe S-Flex SFF21G 120mm
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 CPU Cooler
    SteelSeries 6GV2 Keyboard

    PROBLEM:
I have a 19" CRT running at native resolution of 1280 by 1024 I have a 37" LG 1080p 60Hz, 37" flat screen TV I play Diablo II ...it's native res is 800x600 When I have Diablo II running and Browser open...and then use VLC Media Player to watch a movie that stored on my 2nd HDD....on my 37" TV...it all works fine.

However, when I maximize Diablo II...the TV image switches from the movie to the right 1/3rd of my browser on the TV. When I minimize Diablo II...movie comes back on TV... I can simply pause the movie if I need to maximize Diablo II...and then when I'm finished on Diablo II...UN-pause the movie.

Apparently, after Windows XP Microsoft forced Nvidia to remove the "configure displays independently" option from the Nvidia control panel. If nvidia refused MS would no longer certify their drivers.

If there is a 3rd party app or a work around that will give me the "configure displays independently" option in Nvidia control panel, I would love too know about it.

THINGS I'VE TRIED THAT DON'T HELP:
    1. Run D2 in windowed mode...it works but D2 is way too dark and the in game...gamma options are greyed out...when in windowed mode.
    2. Tried Sven's Glide Wrapper...which allows me to run D2 in Windowed mode and allows the gamma adjustments....but after 10-15 mins with browser and D2 running on CRT and Movie running on TV...the comp freezes completely...vid card temp at max is only 40C
    3. Just got UltraMon...but it doesn't seem to have the: "configure displays independently" option.

WHAT I WANT TO DO IS:
Have browser and D2 running on my 19" CRT (primary display)...AND be able to watch a movie stored on HDD on my TV...and have it all work like it did on Windows XP.
The Nvidia control panel had the "configure displays independently" option on Win XP...whereas Win 7 only has extend and clone :/

    Get AMD =P
Hydra Display, and CCC let you do this incredibly easy.

    Just kidding.
I do believe there is an application similar to ati tray tools for Nvidia, but I cannot remember the name for the life of me, I'll see if I can find it, and will add it to the thread.
