Hi, all.
I've got a TV as a monitor on one of my desktop PCs, which uses a DVI-to-HDMI cable. I can run full-screen games successfully, but when I exit a game and the resolution returns to normal, the TV stays blank, and doesn't refresh. The only 2 fixes I've come across so far are logging into the PC remotely (which makes the switch user screen appear), or to unplug and re-insert the hdmi cable from the TV. Both of these options are not really as convenient as I'd like, so I was wondering if there is any way to remedy this. The best way I can think of (but am not sure if it's even possible) is either forcing the screen to refresh, or to access the switch user screen, via a shortcut or script that I can bind to a custom key on my keyboard.
I don't have a remote for the TV, and the menu that can be accessed with the buttons is quite limited, so changing any TV settings is not an option.
Sorry if this post's a little hard to understand, I've been awake for far too long.
Thanks,
Tom.
