    Graphics Card????


    Hello. So I'm still trying to upgrade my computer. I have a dell studio 145 and everything has been upgraded but the graphics card because its integrated into the mother board. I have an ati 540v 512mb 500/700 MHz core and men speed. The upgraded motherboard for my computer has 1gb and 675/800mhz and is not worth it IMO. I wanted to get an ati HD 5470. Which is 750/900 MHz 1gb. Or better GPU. Does anyone on this forum or does anyone know of anyone who would be able to unsolder the old one and resolder the new one in? Also what other notebook gpu s would be a nice upgrade?

    I would talk to Dell about what you are considering before you go any further. I know it`s a pain in the ass to talk to them, but what you are talking about may not be worth it and may destroy the pc.

    What you are looking to do is not worth it at all. Don't be so cheap, and buy a computer that has what you are looking for.

    I can guarantee nothing good will come out of what you are trying to do and odds will be more against you not having a working computer anymore.

    girrrr. i was looking into external GPU's and how you can make one. like make an enclosed for a desktop GPU or get the vidock

    also my other problem is that when i boot up my computer, my GPU clock speed is always maxed out. i have to go into my overcloking tool, and hit reset clocks for it to go back to normal. bios update, drivers update, and uninstalling overclocking tool dident work but replacing the motherboard did any ideas?
