HD3650 agp help

I have a problem with installing drivers (and getting them to work) for my Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3650 AGP. I followed the instructions torrentg said (downloading normal win 7 drivers and adding your card info in the .inf file) in a topic below but all the time I get code 43 in device manager. Also, when I install normal agp hotfix (vista one or xp) my card is recognized as VisionTek hd2600xt (both on xp an 7) alltough my card is hd3600 from Sapphire. Any help would be apriciated. thank you.

Go into your motherboard bios and increase the AGP aperature size. Try 128 MB.

Anyway, what's your card's hardward id number?

The error code 43 may also be because you do not have the correct chipset driver for your motherboard installed. Don't know what hardware you have, but this is related.

If you have problems still, can you post a screenshot of your device manager with the system devices showing?

I'll try it later when I get on my pc. Regarding aperture size, I tried it before but it always resets to 32mb one. My motherboard is Asus p4u800-x

Go to the link below for a "hotfix" for your AGP card. These are the only fixes available that I'm aware of for the Radeon AGP cards. Use the Vista version fixes as there are no Windows 7 fixes at this time.

That's usually good advice for AGP cards Nibiru, but in the case of the 3650, it is not listed in the .inf. So a straight download and install will not work.

The above is what's listed at the ATI website, if it's not listed in the .inf file then he does have an issue.

Yeah. The issue is simply adding his card's line in the .inf which he already knows from the other thread about the 3650. He has further problems we're trying to sort.

Changing aperture size didn't work. I don't know where to find the chipset driver so...

In the system devices, there's Ali PCI to AGP controller. Right click that and choose update driver, browse my computer for driver software, let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Click on PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge, then next and let that install.

Reboot. Install the video card driver again with my .inf. Maybe anaother reboot needed.
