    Stretched Out Screen, No 1920X1080

I have had this screen resolution problem with my Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit HP7100 Tower Computer ever since i upgraded from Windows XP. My screen has a stretched out resolution and i am stuck at 1280X1024. I am trying to figure out how to have a 1920X1080 Resolution so it is not stretched out. I really think it is my graphics card but my computer says it is updated. Although, My graphics card cant handle aero, windows glass, and it CAN'T run minecraft . if someone could please help me solve this problem, it would be GREATLY appriciated.

What is the exact model of your GPU?
It might not support that resolution.

You also mentioned that you installed the latest drivers for Nvidia correct?
Would you please go to the device manager and take a screenshot of what appears under display adapters?

Ok, I added a picture to the attached thumbnails. I am not sure why the computer does not display the name of my graphics card but I went to the NVIDIA website and it told me I had a PNY GeForce FX 5200. I searched the graphics card and it look just like mine on the outside.

the screenshot is in the thumbnails at the top of the thread. My computer will not recognize my graphic cards name & I can not get 1920X1080. All it seems to say is Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

Your card is a really old early version GeForce. I would search for a used new version Geforce card that has win7 drivers available on the nVidia / GeForce websites. Your card uses a standard PCI slot, not the newer PCI-E slots.

Ah yes, my apologies. Seems my eyesight is failing me.

Make sure you installed the proper drivers from the Nvidia website.
If it's listed as a VGA adapter I am sure you don't have the correct drivers working with Windows 7
