Nvidia GTX 660 ti GPU error.

    Hi Guys,

I've installed the original driver from the disk, in device manager an exclamation mark stays next to the installed driver. I've uninstalled the driver successfully, and re-installed the latest drivers from the manufacturers site. I've even tried the auto detect on Nvidia's site and it detects the GPU and provided drivers. At the end I gave the machine a format and re-installed WIN 7 64-bit Ultimate again, with the fresh install and newly loaded drivers the same error occurs, the driver installed normally but the exclamation mark does not go away. When opening Nvidia control panal, it reads: "Your current display is not connected to a Nvidia GPU"

Have someone had this issue? I'm installing drivers and the card in another box, I'll let you know.

Please if you have any Idea's let me know.

    Thx

Did you uninstall the old AMD Radeon drivers first? Is the card seated in the slot fully and the power connectors plugged in all the way? Were you running any on board graphics before you installed the new card?

I would uninstall any Radeon software/drivers, find and use the Nvidia driver wiper program and then install the latest driver from Nvidias site. Never use the driver that comes from the installation disk, they are outdated by the time it gets to your door.

Edit: Also, whatever type of connection you are using for your monitor, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, if you are able, try another port.

In Device Manager what does it say if you expand Display Adapters?

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply. I've tried everything with this card and eventually swapped it out on warranty. They gave me a report and said faulty GPU. I've inserted the new card and loaded the latest drivers, I'm enjoying some 3D graphics and once in a while I'm playing some FarCry3 & Dishonored... Thx a lot for trying though..

    Rep to you guys!!!!

Glad to see you got your problem worked out........I know how it is to have defective hardware, and to sit and scratch your head over it.
