My desktop is freaking out and my CPU spikes

So, i'm not sure if this is the correct section to post to in regards to this, I'm assuming so. Anyway, here's my problem. I would be using the computer like I normally would, when all of a sudden, the graphics would start freaking out, things would be disappearing/reappearing, like the taskbar, window elements, text, things would start blinking etc. The screen would never go black during this, just acting funny. After awhile, my processor would return to normal and everything's fine again. I looked in task manager to see if I could figure it out, but no such luck. It just stopped by itself.

Also, I never know when I'll get hit with this. It just happens at random.

Went to Glary Utilities | Glarysoft and used Glary Utilities, which is pretty amazing by the way. So far no problems. I don't appear to have any Malware on my system, already ran a scan.

I will post a new thread in the future on this page if the problem persists with cpu temps and whatnot, whatever is required. This page is saved to my desktop for the future.

Love speccy! Thanks anyway.

Ok mate but be VERY careful with those sorts of apps it's probably ok but then there are probably a thousand more that are not

As a precaution make sure you back the system up regularly - just in case.

It just now stopped doing this. It's back to normal again and my processor is fine now. This went on for several minutes.

Test your memory. I'd look at the gpu also. I also wouldn't recommend any all in one fixit utilities.

Memtest would be fine. Have you checked the seating of the new gpu?

As well as the above mentioned, go and get the latest driver directly from the mfgr's site.
