I wish you all the best and I hope someone smarter than me can help in your other thread.
got my PSU today and all set up, so now im just waiting for GPU which should be here tomorrow. i had a cool idea for the enclosure. im going to do a plexy glass box with the PSU and Gpu in it, and have a big fan with blue LED's on the top and some holes on the sides for exhaust.
I think UV reactive Plexiglas is available, that would look cool. It also glues together easily with a liquid glue.
got everything working, and all is awesome! havent played a game tho, b/c i got home too late
running even better on BFBC2 but still lags like hell in all my DX9 games.
Lagging DX9 Steam Games
so although installing the other internal GPU driver helped in all my directx 9 games, it really screwed up the directx 11 games. performance like droped 50% in those. BFBC2, i can no longer play on 1080 with high settings. more like 1024 with high settings? dafaug? lol this is annoying.
so im trying a GTX 560 Ti and still have the SAME problem.... any ideas?

*UPDATE*
ok so i figured id give you ppl a little update on the eGPU build....
so far, im still stuck on the lag issue. its come down to 2 things.
1) my eGPU is incomparable with my internal gpu causing lag on some games.
2) only running at PCI 1.1 x1, some games do not like this speed/ combination hence why Dirt 3 and BFBC2 run amazing, but others do not.
ive ruled out it being the eGPU itself, because ive tried 3 different GPU's. the original 6670, 6770, and GTX 560 Ti OC.
im not currently running the GTX. it has givin me some better performance, and compatibility.
***im selling the 6770 is anyone is interested! please PM me for more info!
my solutions to the above problems is this:
1) i need a program called Setup 1.x to completely disable my dGPU (internal gpu) pre bootup to windows.
2) i need to get another mPCI adapter and cable to create a PCI 1.1 X2 setup speed.
i am confirming this before i go buy anything else, and will report back my findings. however, having reading 1000's of pages on forums, the X1 speed is known for amazing performance in some games, and harsh performance in others.... soooooooo i might be on to something here. unfortunally, first gen intel CPU's dont support PCI 2.0 or 3.0..... so i think my next laptop will be one with a 3rd gen core i and both express card and mPCI slots to create PCI 2.0/3.0 x2+ speeds lol
