Windows 7: IGPU and discrete card dual monitor config

Is there any advantage to using the IGPU for second monitor instead of putting my second monitor on my GTX 660.

Here is how I use them, I have my main monitor hooked to the DVI on my GTX 660. I use it for gaming. I hooked up a second monitor hooked to the onboard IGPU. I use it to monitor temps, and use teamspeak etc.



Was wondering does this put an extra load on the cpu, does it benefit the discrete gpu by using less resources?
