Incidentally, the 7970 pictured has two DisplayPort connectors. That's yet another digital interface. Neither of the monitors that you list have Display Port inputs, though.

I probably wouldn't buy a touchscreen monitor unless I was planning to run Windows 8, but that's just me.

If you will only need two things to use touch for, better get a surface tablet.
You'd need to find software that supports touch. And probably pay quite the sum for something among that league.

But it is -your- money.

Have you even tested surface?

And what are your current computers specs right now?
As I said again. It is your money. But to ME it seems an uncessesary expense that could be rooted to a much more important component.

i am currently using a Samsung series 3 laptop, with amd 1.4ghz E1 and 8gb ddr3 ram,
the system i am going to buy is listed in my system specs, I am buying it after my exams next month,

http://www.microsoft.com/Surface/en-...specifications

everything is low including graphics card, buying sirface i could only enjoy touching it and taking it out, and in my country is nearly 4000+ but the computer i am going to buy is going to be more than that but more cooler

my Samsung is good for everything even game developing, but it doesn't help me in rigging and using high mesh for 3d models which i don't like to make it small,

and i was also interested in dell xps 12 which was 5000+ in my country

but when i thought buying it , i got to know that it was a waste for me to buy things like that which will be not used in future
