AMD 7770 HD in ACER Aspire M3910

Hi, I have an ACER Aspire M3910, the spec from the web site:

    Processor: Intel Core i5 (650) 3.2GHz 4MB (L3 Cache)
    Package: LGA1156
    Chipset: Intel H57 Express
    PCI 32 bit: 1 x PCI Slots
    PCI Express Slot: 1 x PCI Express x16, 2 x PCI Express x1 Slots
    Integrated Network: Yes
    Integrated Sound: Yes
    Memory (Maximum): 4096MB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
    Memory Slot: 4 x DIMM
    Hard Disk: 500GB (1 x 500GB) 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Graphics Device: NVIDIA GeForce GT 320 1024MB Dedicated
    Optical Drive Type: DVD±RW
    Keyboard: Wired keyboard
    Pointing Device: Wired Optical Mouse
    Sound Card: High-definition audio support
    VGA Port: 1 x 15-pin D-Sub
    HDMI Port: 1 x HDMI
    USB Ports: 10 x USB 2.0
    RJ-45 Ports: 1 x RJ-45
    Audio Line In Ports: 1 x Line-In/Line-Out/Mic-in
Headphone Ports: 1 x Hi Definition Headphone Port
Microphone In Port: 2 x Microphone In
    Keyboard Port: 1 x PS/2
    Mouse Port: 1 x PS/2
Removable Flash Memory Adaptor: Multi Card Reader
    Wired Network: Yes
Network Interface: Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Mbps Integrated

I have upgraded the RAM to 11GB (added x2 4GB), also added a 7200rpm SATA hard drive internally.

The power supply has a label that reads 300W.

I recently purchased this XFX AMD 7770 HD graphics card:
    XFX HD 7770 Core Edition 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI.. | Ebuyer.com

The card is installed but I now realise I need a 6 pin power lead to connect to the card :-O

I read somewhere that the card does not draw a lot of power and that my computer should be able to power it?

I've taken a video which hopefully can show off what's inside the computer: http://db.tt/hjbHfVSx

The question is, can I power the card using my existing setup? I've seen 6 Pin PCI-E to 2 X 4 Pin Molex Power Cables, could one of these be used? maybe split from an existing cable :-/

Ideally I'd like to use my existing setup, failing that I guess I would have to buy an upgraded PSU? Something I probably won't bother with as I expect that would open another can of worms?

Unless there is some sort of external power supply method?

Hoping someone could please offer some advice?

Upgrade your PSU. An HD 7770 requires at least a 500W PSU...
Your 300W PSU is not enough...

    Thanks

I sort of expected that might be the case; I've been looking into just that and think I've found a PSU that fits the bill, fingers crossed it doesn't seem like it will be that hard to fit either.

I did see a few other solutions: one involved using another PSU and running a cable through the back of the tower into the gfx card; the other was an internal additional power supply that fitted into a 5.25 bay, both interesting, but looked like they'd probably be more hassle in the end.

I went for this: OCZ 500W CoreXStream PSU | Ebuyer.com

I googled for reviews and all seemed favourable, it's ordered so I hope it is decent?

It's not really good, but it's more than decent... :)

With this PSU you will be fine... OCZ is a good trademark, the important thing is to avoid bad trademarks (like Nilox... I own a Nilox 600W PSU... It burned my Radeon HD 4870 X2 )
