i think the cpu issue is that the second and third gen CPU's perform better then the 1st gen | My System Specs |

This was pointed out to me. I've read most of it already, will be finishing it up after I post this. Lot of good information there. Read all of it , theres some links to .dll's and some other things that MAY be of help. Learned a new thing or two about DirectX already. Interesting read and maybe some help. This is one I can't believe I missed. this dosent make sense. i install my normal drivers, and it runs awesome with BFBC2 but very poor on cod. i install a different driver, and cod runs ok, but other games suck! wtf? im starting to think that this is just a limitation and theres nothing that can be done. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU AMD FX 4300 @ 4.2 GHZ Motherboard MSI 970A-G43 Memory G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB Graphics Card PNY GTX 560 Ti OC Sound Card Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays 20" Hanns-G HL203 Screen Resolution 1600x900 Keyboard Logitech K360 LE Mouse Rocketfish Nano PSU Corsair CX500M Case Athena Power- Black Widow Cooling Cooler Master GeminII S524 Hard Drives WD Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM Internet Speed 60Mbps Down 8Mbps Up Other Info Dell Studio 1458 Laptop Setup:

That could very well be the case. Kind of counter-intuitive but....... What I gathered from the article was the different versions of DirectX are not "made" the same and some are ...sorta optimized for certain games.
As an aside, are you having to go through Steam to play? And do you think, if so, THAT could be the root cause?
Many thanks to Anak for that link by the way. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus G74Sx OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel i7 2670 Qm @2.20 Motherboard AsusTek G74Sx,1.0 Memory 16 GB DDR3 Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M -2040mb Monitor(s) Displays Generic Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Hard Drives Crucial M4 128 gb SSD Internal/ 500gb Western Digital internal @ 7200 rpm (love the dual internal drives!)

I'm just winging it here, and I didn't read from post #1, but has the OP checked for corrupted files?
If the OP is trying to use "modified" files from someone on ebay, well, you only get what you pay for.
