    Graphics card freezes

Make sure that you PC is not overheating. You must have a good cooling system in CPU. I would suggest to change the coolers to avoid such problems.

cool as a cucumber, never gets over 30c. Freezes in stand by with nothing running

I was kinda hoping Dave76 would see this and comment. I believe I have run out of options as the factory bios does not allow for any voltage adjustments or OC. Asus does offer an AImanager that might provide these adjustments but I've tried several times to download it and install it and it doesn't work. I've also read the the Asus utilities can cause even more problems so I removed all that. I don't know if it is possible to convert to the UEFI bios which might allow for adjustment? The problem is clearly a graphics issue as the system runs fine with VGA standard. Unless someone here gives me something to try, I'm disabling the Intel HD 4000 and going back to VGA.
