Cannot install Catalyst Control Center after switching motherboards.

I had to swap my motherboard, because the first one died. After I swapped it I noticed that I could not use Catalyst Control Center on my laptop, which led me to find a solution to my problem. After searching for about a few days I couldn't find any solution. I used to be able to right click and then left click catalyst control center, but after the swapping it said something about the config if I recall correctly. I thought that I could uninstall it and then reinstall it but it didn't work and now I'm here.

I've tried using DriverSweeper in Safe Mode after uninstalling the drivers, reformatting my laptop, and a bunch more.

I have a switchable graphics laptop that is supposed to switch between the integrated and the Radeon HD 6770M, if it helps somehow.

It may have something to do with a different bios version in your new board that threw ccc off, or your Radeon HD is disabled in the bios. have you looked into your bios settings?

No, I have not looked into the BIOS. I'm generally too scared to go there, since I'm not that great with computers. Is there something specific I should look for?

EDIT:
I have checked the BIOS and I saw nothing that has anything to do with the Radeon HD. Do I need to update my BIOS?

EDIT:
I have updated my BIOS through the HP setup thing (dv6t-6100 CTO Quad Edition) and the BIOS is still the same.

I'm a little confused. Are you having this problem with your radeon drivers from a fresh installation or the same installation you had with the old board? In other words, did you re-install windows (or do a factory restore) after you installed this board?

When I use the driver verification tool I get an error message that says
AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer.
This version of your graphics adapter is not supported.
Please contact your notebook manufacturer for a graphics driver update.

I have used the HP drivers already and whenever I try it the installer does not give me an option to download Catalyst Control Center, meaning that it does not show up at all, but that was without removing the video driver from device manager. Which video driver am I supposed to remove from device manager? There are two categories that I think are related to video drivers which are the Display Adapters and the Monitors. Under Display Adapters there is the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family and then under the Monitors is the Generic PnP Monitor.

When I try to use the AMD Driver Autodetect it give me an error message saying "We were unable to find your product or OS."

it would be display adapters. Are you sure this board is exactly the same model as your old one?

in the start menu. could you type msinfo32.exe and press enter. go to components, display, and post what you see in the right pan. a screen shot or copy and past the text would work fine.

The board should be the same. I went to my local computer shop and asked them to help me fix what was wrong (my dead mobo). They told me to buy the one I am currently using telling me that it would be compatible with everything in the laptop.

Here is the image you requested. imgur: the simple image sharer

I'm going to try the thread above right now.

EDIT:
Method above does not work.

For the removal of the display adapter do I uninstall it or just disable this. If I do do this will I be able to see my screen as in the screen will not turn completely black or something?

im not sure if your board is exactly the same as your old one. it seems as if your board only has and Intel video adapter. have you tried with the Intel hd graphics manager in staid? you may even already have it.

here is some drivers from intel

Support for the Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics

as well as hp

Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver - HP Pavilion dv6t-6100 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Support

I have tried this and it feels like my game (DotA 2) runs much smoother. Should I still try the method I quoted below? I only installed from the Intel website, because I already installed the HP ones.

After doing some more play tests on Path of Exile it seems to be fine in some places and not so great in others, so fixing this problem would be great.

it is always good to remove the graphics adapter from the device manager before re-installing the same one or even a different one in my experience.
